Meet the Team

Dan Osterhout – Owner/Founder

Dan Osterhout, frequently referred to as “DanO”, is a husband, father, and founder of EWO, starting the business back in 2018. Seeing a need to shed light on the saddle hunting DIY community, he worked with a close friend to craft hunting tools to help hunters’ needs. DanO has always been involved with the hunting community, working at a bait and archery store back in the 80’s. Soon after, he worked in computer programming for quite a few years. As a saddle hunter himself, he promotes the best equipment for current and future saddle hunters. When DanO isn’t operating EWO, he is an active volunteer in a local church.

Eric Basel – Bow Technician

EWO’s bow technician, Eric Basel, grew up on a farm. Consistently in the outdoors for his entire life, his favorite activities include bow hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. With over two decades of working on, setting up, and manufacturing (assembling) bows, his experience perfectly aligns with EWO’s mission to properly set up and tune outdoorsmen’s equipment for the upcoming seasons. Eric’s witty conversation promotes EWO and fosters relationships with staff and clientele.

Little Dan – Archery Sales Manager

Shooting his first deer at 14, Daniel Thompson, known as “Little Dan” in the EWO community, has been a fan of the wilderness his entire life. This archery manager deals with the organization and inventory of EWO. Little Dan has a background in coffee roasting, construction, and plumbing. Notable characteristics of Little Dan are his welcoming personality, passion for hunting, and family-man traits.

Hunter – Warehouse Manager

Hunter, son of DanO, grew up in a hunting and outdoorsy household. Following in his father’s footsteps, he enjoys hunting and growing the family business. Currently, Hunter is head of customer support and operates the online business of EWO. In Hunter’s free time, he enjoys gaming and playing disc golf with his friends.
