Thought this would be great to hang by bow in the tree but the bottom hook folds completely out making it totally useless. It would be better if it only had the one hinge and swivel. The second hinge makes the hook fold out straight allowing whatever your trying to hang to slide right off.

Sorry this didn’t work for you, perhaps it wasn’t quite setup right. I use it along with tons of other hunters for hanging my bow and my firearm without issue. If hung from a gear strap it works great and is stiff enough to not allow items to slide off. Hit me up for a return if necessary.

Works great for me. Does hang pretty open, but but my bow has never fallen and I can get it off the hook one-handed and without too much excess movement. I have not used with a gun yet. I paid more from amazon before I knew they were here (sorry DanO). 4 stars because I still had to wrap it with tape, and i wish it was a tad smaller.
