Rappelling Kits

We offer several rappelling kits and these are our most popular options. Options include 9mm Camo Elite, 9mm Canyon C-IV, and 8mm Resc Tech (Oplux). The lower cost Standard versions include rope by the foot that can be tied to your quick link with a Scaffold Knot. The Deluxe kits include 40′ rope with a sewn eye as well as a dynaGLIDE kit with spliced eyes and small carabiners on each end.

You can also use these kits as a guide to build your own kit if you would prefer to use a Mammut Smart device or ATC-style device like the Grivel Master Mono. We do recommend an HMS style carabiner when paired with the Smart or Master Mono. There are also several versions of Figure 8s you can chose from if you build your own kit: Grivel Figure 8, Kong Figure 8, CT Otto Curved Figure 8.
