1″ Black Wide Handle Ratchet

Description

Heavy duty ratchet with a rubber coating on the handle. This ratchet is for 1” webbing and is used with a lot of hunting and tree stand straps. A ratchet consists of a round gear with teeth, and a spring-loaded pawl that engages the teeth. When the teeth are moving forward, the pawl easily slides up and over the edges of the teeth. When the teeth move in the backward direction, the pawl will catch against the sloped edge of the tooth, locking it and preventing any further motion.

This buckle can be used with the Ring of Steps Strap (no buckle) and 4-6 SquirrelSteps to create the perfect Ring of Steps. Some prefer a heavy duty ratchet like this to the OCB quick release buckle.
