Beal Birdie / Edelweiss Kinetic Assisted Belay Device

These are replacements for the Mad Rock Safeguard and operate in a similar fashion. These are used in rope climbing and one-stick climbing. While the Safeguard is our preferred device, these are a close second. TIP : When taking weight and tension off while using this, it’s recommended to seat the brake line so it engages right away when putting weight back into it. So once you take tension off while using it, grab either the main line headed towards the tree or the tag end of the rope and pull the rope to help engage the birdie quicker is all.

dynaGLIDE pull-up and/or pull-down rope with spliced eyes and carabiners on each end. Used for pulling up your weapon as well as for pulling down your rappel rope after rappelling down. We start with a 40' length of dynaGLIDE, then add a locked brummel splice eye on each end. Both carabiners included.
